sinkholes & backhoes

You may remember when this happened.  All summer, we've searched for the right person to fill in our old cistern and replace a lot of cracking concrete.  Yep, now it looks like this.  Yesterday while the guys were digging, they found an old well that used to run by a windmill.  Pretty cool from a history standpoint.  Not so cool when it's creating a giant sinkhole under your driveway.

I'm pretty sure that I can see beauty beyond this...

it's not Thanksgiving or Christmas and 35 of your closest friends and relatives are due any minute!

Don't fret, it'll be over soon. It's all a part of living in the country. Ahhh, the unexpected surprises!

oh my what a terrible mess having sinkholes and backhoes in you yard. oh my...hope it all get fixed real soon and you can beautify that area.
