2009~you're outta here!

I feel a little bad saying this, but I can't wait 'til 2009 is over. Don't get me wrong, a lot of great things happened in '09, but the last few months gave me a bad taste.

For 14 years, I worked at a job I loved (and was really good at.) It ended in October. Ever since, I've been a little numb. Numb because someone there once said that I was like a daughter to them...yet let me 'go' without a fight or a goodbye. 14 years, poof.

I guess the spirit of the holidays has brought the emotions to surface and I am anxious to put the year (and its memories) behind me.

Thank God for my family & friends who uplift me and encourage me daily. Thank God for my sweet son who makes me laugh and thank God for the talents, patience & forgiveness that He's given me. Can't wait to embark on new, exciting & authentic adventures, and make some new friends along the way!

So c'mon 2010...I'm ready for ya. It's gonna be good!

2010 is going to be a great year. I can just feel it in my old bones. Life sure does have its ups & downs and that can be so hard. You will land on you feet and things will work out. You are a sweet lady and remember that.

There are greater things for you in 2010! It was time for an abrupt change in your path in order to realize your true potential and opportunities. You are going to hit new levels of accomplishment and satisfaction through Cupcake Studio.

Thanks for the continued support and encouragement you have given to me through the years! I hope this helps you realize that your recent departure is truly a gift. CJ

I worked at the same company for a short time and though you and I were never formally introduced, you always took the time to smile and say hello each time we passed in the hall way or you passed by my desk...such a sweet spirit...

Sometimes the very things we were so sad to leave behind are the very things that were holding us down...now it's your turn to run, and fly....and finally soar...2010...bring it on indeed!

Keep smiling and keep crafting...and keep looking up!

Oh my heavens! I'm SOOOOO with you on this (job thing). I, too, was laid off...and it is just plain NO FUN AT ALL! My 2009 ended poorly, as well, so much so that I stopped blogging for a few months. I'm back now and am with you! Come on 2010! p.s. I love that you shared parts of the "real" ups and DOWNS of life. It's not all just rainbows and unicorns and it helps to know we're all going through tough times!
