Random cheer throughout December...Young Boy celebrates his 13th birthday, Christmas Day (and the snowman blow-up erection) at my sister's, our "big" family Christmas at my folks house on the 26th...and a few of our favorite neighborhood lights (that Grinch in the last shot cracks me up!)  Comfort & joy indeed.

I was reminded today of people that live good & gracious lives.  Wishing you a joyful week.

sinkholes & backhoes

You may remember when this happened.  All summer, we've searched for the right person to fill in our old cistern and replace a lot of cracking concrete.  Yep, now it looks like this.  Yesterday while the guys were digging, they found an old well that used to run by a windmill.  Pretty cool from a history standpoint.  Not so cool when it's creating a giant sinkhole under your driveway.

I'm pretty sure that I can see beauty beyond this...
