Our lilac bushes are ancient, almost as big as trees, and they were so heavy with blooms this year, the fragrance was darn-near overpowering... like being locked in a hot elevator with an overly-perfumed old lady! Love them, though. Pretty pic, Tami.

I can almost smell your lilacs -- mine are still a week or so away from blooming.
I want some! They smell so lovely don't they?
Hello Tami, thanks for the promise of spring :)
My absolute favorite lilacs are the ones that I started from a vintage bush at my grandmother's house.
She has been gone now for about forty years and those beautiful flowers are my connection with her every spring :)
Our lilacs are just on the brink of blooming...I can hardly wait!
