ahhh, 4-H camp

Picked up Young Boy from 4-H Camp today. This was his first "real" week away from home (with no phone calls or anything!) 4-H Camp hasn't changed since I was a young one...a little trip down memory lane for me. Young One had a blast and this is my first experience unpacking WET stuff from big plastic bags & suitcases. Yuck!

Oh, and what sort of mother would I be if I didn't take the child to lunch on the way home? Oh look, there's an antique store across the road!

the best dad in the land

Happy Dad's Day, Papa!

nifty quilt show & the rainbow purse

Mom & I went to a quilt show yesterday. While the quilts on display were incredibly detailed & intricate, I got lost in the vintage booths. Such gorgeous old fabrics!

Favorite vendor spot of the day...Nifty Thrifty Dry Goods. Oh. My. Goodness. Ribbons, trims, pincushions & BUTTONS all arranged by color. YUM! (And it was nice to meet you Jacqueline!)

Funny story of the day. When we got there, there were people everywhere! It was gay pride weekend in Columbus. It hit me as I saw Mom getting out of the car...she had a rainbow purse! The irony...I'm easily amused.
